Budget 2021 used forklifts – Budget encourages purchase of good second-hand equipment
As a long term, all Australian owned, and Queensland based SME ourselves; we have noticed post-Covid, the trend to buying good used equipment and tailoring it to the job at hand. As trades and construction businesses become busier and busier with cashed-up consumers ( that can’t travel outside of Australia ) that are improving their properties for sale or rent, building and construction are fixing up and repairing and moving a lot of goods.
For example, a heavy-duty forklift truck can become a tyre handler, with the right attachments, and with a supplier who understands the forklift business completely. It’s more cost-effective to buy a good quality used unit, rather than try to procure or outlay for a new unit.
